Today, there is so much focus on sneakers and highlighting sneaker culture. But sometimes in the midst of all the exclusives and re-releases, people tend to forget about the relevance and importance of a white sneaker. Back in the day, it was all about the Nike Air Force 1. It was one of the only acceptable all white sneakers. Thankfully, times have changed.
Brands like Converse, Nike and Vans offer a variety of high, low and mid cut options, which can be perfectly paired with everything from denim cutoffs to your favorite casual khakis. As with white jeans, don’t be afraid to live a little in your “all whites” and even get caught in the rain in them. Think of scuffs and spots as character touches, not vibe killers. After all, shoes are meant to be worn, right? As you round out your summer, we urge you to keep the color up top and keep your kicks white hot. -By Brandon Vaughn
