Ever since I heard the line “whose broad stripes and bright stars” in the national anthem, I’ve been feeling that print on shirt. As a kid I can remember my dad’s off-duty shirts having broad blue or pink stripes on them. As an adult, I’ve been hard pressed to find broad stripes on a long sleeve shirt—let alone a short sleeve shirt. With the acceptance of dad style (read: 50’s style shirts, 80’s style sneakers), there are way more options for all sizes and pricepoints. The best part of these styles—they are versatile. You can wear them to work with slacks and blazers, or with shorts on vacation or with ripped jeans on a chill ass day.
Check out a few of the shirts I’m feeling for the summer.
