Since Spring ’10, I have been a fan of Simon Spurr. As I watched the presentation just a couple of years ago, I saw this designer was going to be special. Understanding tailoring and taking risks are all the makings of an amazing designer. Spurr does this and more. His F/W 2012 collection took some risks as well. All flawlessly executed. Whether it was a hidden button closure car coat, a blown out houndstooth suit, a grey wool car coat with python sleeves, or tonal broad stripes suiting, the collection offered a relaxed yet daring approach to menswear. For sure to be on the red carpet as well as in more doors in the fall.
