She By Sheree had a collection viewing at the Red Bull Space in New York City on Sunday. She by Sheree’s handlers alerted the room that this presentation was just a preview and that she would be showing in February (hopefully). I applaud Sheree for believing in her dream enough to come to NYC and show press like myself the collection. However, thats where the compliments end.
If this is a preview of what’s to come, I’m slightly nervous for her. As far as Atlanta or Houston goes, I do feel like that demographic will rock these clothes. But those clothes she showed in Sak’s???
Not gonna happen.
Its not that the collection was bad, its just that it wasn’t good. The fabric choice was sketchy and workmanship was questionable. A lot of clothes looked wrinkled, the silhouettes were all old and overall it wasnt fashionable. The baddest dress was the one she had on, and I’m not even sure if that was by She by Sheree. There was no program with any of looks spelled out and no one seemed to care. To make matters worse, at one point, people forgot about the models and started taking pics of some dude who decided to rock hooker boots and red lip glass from MAC.
I quit.
