Its no secret that Michael Bastian is one of my favorite menswear designers. Michael Bastian does a true menswear collection, offering everything from beachwear to formal wear and all items in between. The spring/summer 2010 collection was inspired by latin men.
According to Bastian, He feels that latin men embody a mixture of masculinity and emotion. With this collection, it was Bastian’s goal to show the vulnerability in menswear. His collection was full of risks, from cut off shorts with fringe, to bright baby blue tuxedo jackets. Bastian pushed the envelope enfusing his line with color and silhouette. He incorporated color blocking on vests, ties and sweaters. All the pants are skinny and cropped, the blazers sleeves are rolled up and uses his signature mismatch of colors and patterns.
Not necessarily his best collection, but an amazing collection none the less.
