There seemed to be very little going out in menswear on the red carpet at the Oscars. Tim Gunn said it best when he said it’s hard to mess up a menswear look on the red carpet. And it’s true. One should try to push the envelope, but really it should be about the right fit, the right sized tie and the right designer for your body. Check out some of my best and not so fresh looks from the red carpet.
Gary Oldman looks great in this Paul Smith look. Somehow I feel like this look is what Pharrell tried to emulate.
Diddy looking dapper in this one button tuxedo.
Sometimes the older generation has to show you how its done. Donned in this velvet tuxedo. Christopher Plummer looks oh so fresh.
Tom Hanks in this shawl collar tuxedo from Tom Ford. Fresh is as Fresh does!
Brad Pitt in Tom Ford. Wish he would cut his hair already…
Disappointed. Jonah Hill had started to have a bit of a style resurgence. This suit was ill fitted and we still don’t know what color shirt he was wearing.
Kept hoping Nick Nolte was in character . Between his dollar store sunglasses , his tiny bowtie and ill fitted tuxedo, he’s one of my worst dressed for sure.
I love where Pharrell was trying to go with this outfit. But I’m not sure if he needed a 3pc suit look. Its a little bulky and a little too much look for his small stature. His bowtie was also crooked for most of the night. But I’m not mad at this look,at all.
