One thing that is for sure is that men’s fashion is always changing. AS the years go by, men’s fashion continues to evolve. Part of that evolution is about the repurposing of garments. We saw an example of this with Timberland boots, which were once meant for construction and then became a fashion item.
We are seeing the same repurposing happen with the robe. Robes were once for lounging and hanging inside. However now we are seeing the robes and its silhouette trend throughout menswear. Brands like McQueen, Dries Van Noten and DSquared have shown this trend in the fall runway collections. Its a great way to add a longer silhohuette and layer up with different pieces.
