I have to admit, I’m not much a sneaker head, but when I do rock sneakers, I really enjoy them being HIGH tops.  In fact, its the only silhouette that draws my attention.  Especially in the fall.   More and more we are seeing high top sneakers,  especially those that have something more to offer than a retro Jordan feel or a all white Uptown that we once loved years ago.  And while we aren’t mad at those shoes, we know that there’s more out there to step our feet into.     Check out five pair of high tops that we love.

1. GIVENCHY STARS LEATHER HIGH TOP $720

100% calfskin, with velcro front stars strap, these shoes are a splurge, but a show stopper nonetheless.

2. G-Star Sultan Nylon Hi-Top Sneakers $185

These hi-tops by G Star have been constructed with a textile and leather upper and a rubber sole. The details include: nine hole metallic eyelet opening, cap toe, quilted design, ventilation holes, brand tab to the side, heel pull tab, vulcanized sole and striped tread.

3.Lagos Tux Beaded High Top Sneaker by Donald J Pliner.  $875 at Neiman Marcus

A meticulously beaded nubuck leather upper gives this Donald J Pliner sneaker a fierce, flashy look that speaks to your penchant for statement-making style.   This is most expensive of the shoes shown, but its a great alternative to the Louboutin sneaker that is studded at almost 3 times the amount.

4  ABOLT sneaker by Aldo  $90

High Top in Maroon Patent Leather.   Similiar to a Lanvin style a few years back.   Love the lace up front with velco strap.
5. Leopard Print Suede High Top Sneakers  by Pierre Hardy. $520

Parisian footwear maestro Pierre Hardy always packs a punch, and these high top sneakers set a high standard. Crafted from suede and printed with leopard spots, they are sleek and assured.
