Yesterday, I checked out the Brian Wood Spring/Summer 2010 presentation held in Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. While wine was poured, conversation flowed, the audience which is mostly made up fashionistas, fashion bloggers, photographers, editors and invited guests, oohed and ahhed at the collection. Often menswear lines fail to inspire, and are either blah streetwear, way too traditional or totally unwearable by any men that likes masculine fashion.
Brian Wood’s collection is a cohesive, exciting, and wearable. From woven striped button down shirts with side pockets, to a twill military style jacket that zips up all the way over your head, the collection offers a spin on the typical menswear line. In line with other collections seen for spring, this collection deals with a neutral backgroun of grey, fatigue green and blue and adds in pops of bright orange, blue and fatigue print.
The collection was styled by Mensor Kamarake.
