It’s been a long time since I’ve posted some personal style photos. There a few reasons for this (which I can get into another time). One of the main reasons was the everlong transition from winter to spring. Thankfully, it looks like that transition is complete and I can finally start wearing some spring clothing.
When Banana Republic,( a brand I’ve shopped since I was a college student) reached out to me about sending me some product to style on myself, I was too excited. Not only am I a fan of their brand but I also wanted to see what they had in store for me this season. Moreover, since my #journeytosamplesize. I’ve been excited to see what my new size was like in some of my favorite stores.
After some complicated shipping struggles (living without a doorman is a first world problem that’s still a problem), I received two pieces that I’ve incorporated into looks seen below.
Even though it’s supposed to be 70+ degrees, there are some nights where you need a heavier knit. I love this marled forest green henley which has a relaxed fit (if you want something a little closer to show off muscles and what not, feel free to go a size down than your normal). I paired it with slim-fit black pants and an oversized fedora. This henley is super soft and can also be rocked underneath a denin jacket or around your waist when the weather does warm up.
Shorts have been always something I’ve worn sparingly. I was happy to rock these seersucker stripe shorts. With a slightly larger leg opening, these shorts look great paired with a long sleeve button-up and some cool shades. Looking forward to rocking these to a BBQ or sunday brunch.
Both pieces are currently available at Banana Republic while supplies last. Looking forward to seeing what else they have in store for this season. I’ll be keeping you posted as my #journeytosamplesize continues.
