These days, the line between luxury and mass market appears to be blurry. According to WWD, Jean Paul Gautier will be doing a line for Target. Gautier joins notable designers Anna Sui and Alexander McQueeen under the designer collaboration series at Target. While Anna Sui used “gossip girl cast” as her muse, Gautier rumored muse is the American woman.
The line is set to be in 250 stores from March 7th 2010 to April 11th.

Oh shoot! Now you know people are going to flock to Target (and I said that with the accent- the G sounding like a J..LOL).
Some people like to criticize folks who couldn’t afford high-priced designer wear until they launched collections in affordable outlets such aas an H&M and Target. But I think it’s great and introduction to something quality based and affordable! Rather than allowing such cheap vendor wear to suffice because your pocket can’t afford the “good” stuff.
If anything, designers making such efforts are actually influencing consumers to work on their designer wear and graduate from casual corner to hauteness!
